    Please go somewhere else...unless maybe you need a grease hang-over cure.

    El Gordito is kind of a big thing in San Diego. So when we pulled up to the place that we thought was named "Mexican Food", to discover it was actually named El Gordito... The hubby and I were thrilled. However, walking out we were really sorry we did not just go over to Cotijas.

    My hubby measures all taco shops by their carne asada burrito. He said that their asada had no flavor, and the burrito itself had a lettuce taste...but there was no lettuce that he could see. I had a chile relleno burrito. But, it was just a (greasy) bean and cheese burrito with egg breading chunks inside. Mid-way through eating it I pulled it apart to check. Two things that any Mexican place should be able to get right. Carne asada and beans, neither had any taste at this place.

    To its credit, there seemed to be regulars. But, I will never go back.

    Close to the worst Mexican food I've ever had anywhere. Poorly packaged. Spilled containers. Luke-warm food. Over-cooked chicken. Chile relleno mostly breading with cold cheese inside. Some unidentifiable spice that overpowered everything. Late delivery. Will not use again.

    I believe they sold to a new owner. Ate there and won't be going back. :( Very sad.

    This is a new Taco Shop that's opened up that is absolutely phenomenal. Prices are amazing and with quality food that you can taste all the way through. I highly recommend it if you're in the area
